CAPS Theme/Grammar: Using Izimamva Zezenzi
(BT: 1 - 5): ALL LEVELS OF TAXONOMY + including Creativity
Lesson for GRADE 10: Learners were introduced to verbal extensions and examples. They were actively involved in answering questions as I went through the presentation slides.
Using all 4 levels of BT to actively engage in the lesson, they had to complete a small exercise at the end of the lesson. They were instructed to use their prior knowledge and new knowledge about verbal extensions and construct their own sentences using the images i displayed. You can access them here.
After completing the exercise they have used all 5 levels of Bloom's Taxonomy.
This lesson is a great example of the (according to CAPS) learning material that should be VISUAL.
Critical Incident / Reflection Moment: Was after my teaching practice, when we only discussed the work in class in the last term. I was challenged to do research and learn myself first before I presented the word to the children. I also found the work much easier when I was back at university, because I already exposed myself to it prior.
